Notion Progress Bar Widgets

A Notion progress bar widget shows time filling up inside your Notion page: four live bars track how much of the day, week, month, and year has already passed, each with an exact percentage that updates every second. It answers "how much of the year is left?" at a glance, which makes it a natural fit next to goals, habit trackers, and memento mori dashboards. There is nothing to configure and no account: copy the embed URL, paste it into Notion, and choose "Create embed". Each progress bar comes in minimal, soft-pink, and retro pixel styles, and it also replaces the Life Progress widget that disappeared when WidgetBox shut down.

How to add a progress bar widget to Notion

  1. 1

Pick a progress bar and copy its embed URL

Open any progress bar below and click "Copy embed URL". There is nothing to install or sign up for.

  2. 2

Paste it into your Notion page

In Notion, paste the URL where you want the bars and choose "Create embed" from the menu that appears. You can also type /embed first.

  3. 3

Resize it to fit your dashboard

Drag the embed's handles to the width you want. The bars are fluid and stay readable from narrow sidebar columns up to full-width blocks.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a progress bar to Notion?

Copy the widget's embed URL, paste it into a Notion page, and select "Create embed". The four bars start tracking the current day, week, month, and year immediately, with no setup.

Can it show progress for my own tasks or goals?

No. These bars track calendar time, not task completion. For a task-based bar, use Notion's own progress bar property on a database, or try the habit tracker and streak tracker widgets here, which fill bars as you check things off.

When does the week bar start?

Monday at midnight, local time. The day bar resets at midnight, the month bar on the first of the month, and the year bar on January 1, all in your own timezone.

Is this the same as WidgetBox's Life Progress widget?

It covers the same idea. WidgetBox shut down in December 2025 and its Life Progress embeds went blank. These bars track day, week, month, and year progress; if you want the whole-life view as well, the Life Calendar widget maps your life into a year grid.

Is the progress bar widget free?

Yes. All three styles are free to embed with no account and no widget cap. Free embeds carry a small Widgets For Notion attribution.
