AI widget maker

Notion widget maker: describe it, embed it

A widget maker for Notion that works from a plain-English description. Type what you want, the AI generates the widget and hosts it, and you paste one embed link into a Notion /embed block. There is no code to write and no hosting to set up. Credits start at $0.99 for five generations, with no subscription.

How the widget maker works

  1. Describe the widget

Write what you want in plain English: "a minimal dark countdown to June 3 with a progress bar", "a kanban board for three project stages", "a dice roller for D&D". The more specific the description, the closer the first version lands.

  2. Generate and preview it

The AI builds the widget as a self-contained page and shows you a live preview. Generation takes under a minute and uses one credit.

  3. Refine until it fits

Not quite right? Tell it what to change: "make the font bigger", "use pastel green", "add a reset button". Each refinement is a fresh generation on top of your widget and uses one credit.

  4. Copy the embed link into Notion

Save the widget and copy its embed link. In Notion, type /embed, paste the link, and click "Embed link". We host the widget, so the link keeps working without anything to deploy or maintain.

Widgets people make with it

The maker is for widgets nobody has published: the countdown to your exam, the tracker in your exact shade of green. Some starting points:

Exam countdown

A countdown to May 15 titled 'Finals' with a subtle progress ring, cream background

Habit streak counter

A counter with +1 button and a flame icon that celebrates every 7th day

Reading tracker

A 'books read in 2026' tracker with a goal of 24 and a bookshelf that fills up

Team world clock

Three clocks side by side for Berlin, New York, and Tokyo with day/night icons

Decision spinner

A spinning wheel with six editable options for choosing where to eat

Water reminder

A water tracker with 8 glasses that ripple when clicked, ocean blue theme

Pricing: pay per widget, not per month

One credit is one generation or one refinement. Credits are a one-time purchase and never expire — there is no subscription to cancel and no free-trial clock.

Do you even need the maker? Try the free catalog first

We keep 50 ready-made Notion widgets that are free to embed, with no account and no watermark upsell. If you want a clock, countdown, pomodoro timer, or daily quote in one of our four styles, grab it there and spend nothing. The maker earns its credits when the catalog falls short: a widget type we haven’t built, or a design that has to match your page exactly.

Browse by type on the widget types index to see what already exists before you generate.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Notion widget maker free?

Generation is paid: one credit builds or refines one widget, and packs start at $0.99 for 5 credits as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and credits never expire. The 50 ready-made widgets in our catalog are free to embed without an account.

How do I add the generated widget to Notion?

Every saved widget gets its own hosted embed link. On any Notion page, type /embed, paste the link, and click "Embed link". The same link works on as many pages and workspaces as you want.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the widget in ordinary language and the AI writes and hosts the code. If you do write code and want full control, you can host your own HTML instead — see the embed HTML guide.

What kinds of widgets can it build?

Anything that works as a self-contained page: clocks, countdowns, counters, trackers, timers, small games, calculators, quote boards. It can't reach into other services, so widgets that need live external data (like your real calendar events) are the wrong fit.

Will my widget keep working later?

Yes. Saved widgets are hosted by us and the embed link is stable. You don't need to keep the browser open, renew anything, or redeploy.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free account, so your widgets and credits have somewhere to live. Sign-in happens in the creator itself; you buy credits only when you're ready to generate.
